Welcome to the Tinley Park Community Church Website! I was called to this church in August 2024. My Seminary training began in 1996, and after completing my three year program, I was ordained in 1999. As a wife, mother, and middle school teacher, my faith has been my foundation. My children are in their twenties, my husband and I enjoy spending time in nature and with our pets. I grew up in Oak Forest, lived in San Diego for about 11 years, and found my way back to Tinley Park in 2010. I have had a successful career in education as a middle school teacher for over twenty years and am currently teaching eighth grade English in Homer Glen.
As the pastor of TPCC, I lead the 10:30 AM Sunday service and love to spend time having fellowship with the Bingo players on Wednesday evenings. My hopes are to grow our congregation, incorporate Bible Studies, as well as lead a Grief share program for church members and the local community in 2025.
With Jesus as my rock and salvation, I live my life striving to live it as close as possible to my favorite Bible passage, Colossians 3:12-17: “Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” While I may often miss the mark, these are the words that guide me each and every day.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you will go beyond our website, and come to visit in person, whether it’s for a Sunday Service, a prayer, or to talk. We are a “come as you are” type of church. All are welcome. This is a place of peace and love. Like Matthew 11:28-30 states, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” -Blessings
